Pete
Philly & Perquisite -- Mindstate EP -- 12" single -- $13.99
Unexpected -- 2004 -- Condition: New
Groovy Perquisite production with Pete Philly rapping. It's almost like
a "day in the life" - or rather "night in the life"
- of Pete Philly. He starts getting
"Motivated"
then moves on to his "Eager"-to-have-sex tale. The super "Lazy"
is a funky afternoon spin we can all relate to. Up all night with super
funky "Insomnia" and the instrumental "Gloomy".
"Mindstate"
rounds out the EP with a touch of jazz. Vocals in English.

Three track EP from Holland's finest. "Nebula
(Don't Let It Fool Ya)" is led by horns and a quick tempo
under Cee Major's swaggering lyricism. "Elastics"
features some nifty give-an-take on the mic with Gumshoe and Major,
while in
"Process The Matter", the boys slow the beat down and layer
different background samples throughout the song. Includes instrumentals
of all three tracks. Vocals in English. |

Shogun
-- Shogun Warchant EP -- 12" single -- $12.99
Shogun -- 2003 -- Condition: New
First single from Shogun and he does not disappoint. Lyrically, eh's
on target with the uptempo "Dawn
of Fate", driven by a hard guitar lick. The bouncy, electronic
"Shogun
Warchant" will have the club chanting "Shoguns! Shoguns!"
He round sit out by proving he's not playing "Games" and takes
it back to the essence in "1978". Also includes instrumentals
of "Dawn of Fate" and "Shogun Warchant". Vocals
in English. |
