Records and CDs listed on this site are currently in stock. We update the site daily, however most of the foreign vinyl we only possess in limited quantities and most of the US vinyl are one copy only.

Pricing

We price most of our import vinyl at the equivilant of what you would pay in its country of origin, adjusted for currency exchange rates. For example, UK single are typically 6 Pounds, around US $10.99. Vinyl singles in Europe are around 8 Euros and in Japan they are about 1,400 Yen. You save a lot of money on shipping inside the U.S.

Packaging and Shipping

All records are shipped in cardboard records mailers/boxes. All CDs are shipped in cardboard CDs mailers. Most of the time, foreign vinyl is not shrink wrapped. In the case we receive new records with no shrink wrap, we immediately put them in protective plastic record sleeves to preserve the jackets.

We ship via USPS Media Mail inside the U.S. and USPS airmail outside the U.S. Surface mail is an option for larger foreign orders (please specify in you remail order).

We currently ship on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Vinyl Grading

I usually grade visually due to the volume of records I buy and sell. I listen to anything VG or less to make sure there's no significant surface noise.

SS - Factory sealed shrink wrap, mint condition, never been played.
New - Mint condition, never been played, no shrink wrap.
NM - Not a single flaw on the record. Looks like someone just opened the shrink wrap. May have been played once but you'd never know it.
VG++ - One or two very small scuffs (usually from the paper inner sleeve). Otherwise NM.
VG+ - A few small scuffs or marks (from minimal playing or the inner sleeve).
VG - Some scuffs or marks, probably was played a number of times.
G+ - Scuffs and/or marks but not covering the whole record.
G - Significant scuffs, marks, and light scratches but plays without skipping. A heavily played record.
No grade - The ungraded US vinyl usually falls between NM and VG+. If you are interested, I'll email you the grades before you pay for it.

Are you a foreign hip hop artist or group looking to sell your music? We would be happy to consider your product to sell in our store. Email us at info@worldhiphopmarket.com and we'll give you an address to send us a copy of your CD or vinyl plus any relevant photos, press information, etc. We can even arrange MP3 downloads if you are unable to mail your music. Please do not send us unsolicited MP3 files! We immediately delete attached files from unknown email addresses. Thanks.
