Jehst - Falling Down - CD - $19.99
Lowlife -- 2003 -- Condition: New
(UK) Easliy one of the best albums of the last year. If you haven't heard him, Jehst is an outstanding lyricist. On his debut LP, he laces track after track with thick metaphors and narrative and produced most of the music himself. Includes the two singles: the Run-DMC sampled "Run Hard" and the prosaic (in a good way) "Monotony" featuring Asaviour and Diablo. No filler, every track a standout. How much effort he must have put just into "Intro (Liquor Soaked Sentiments)". Lewis Parker produces "Brimstone Rock" and "Give it Here", lending vocal support to the second cut as well. "Falling Down" and "ESP (Extra Sensory Perfection)" are aural dreamscapes covered by uncompromising lyrics. A true masterpiece.

Natty - ...About Time - CD - $19.99
Defcon -- 2004 -- Condition: New
(UK) He's a little crazy, a little lyrical and all entertaining. Natty sews up this long-player with 19 tracks including his latest single "Eurostars", a collbo with French MC Urtikr, Anglo-German crew Dark Circle and the mighty Tommy Evans. Mr. Thing provides a memorable track on "Mind Control", while Natty lets loose on the horn-laden "Sketchy Grammer", produced by Dutch Courage. Courage also provides the backing for "About Time".

Rodney P - The Future - CD - $19.99
Riddim Killa -- 2004 -- Condition: New
(UK) Rodney P kills it with his latest album, The Future. Fans of his reggae-influenced vocals will not be disappointed with the likes of "The Nice Up", "Big Tings Again" featuring M.C.D. and the lead-off single "Riddim Killa". The electronic beats are bass-heavy and contageous. Later, Mystro shows up to help pump "I Don't Care (Time To Party)". A great CD.

Tommy Evans - The Turbulent Times of...Tommy Evans - CD - $19.99
UNR -- 2003 -- Condition: New
(UK) A nice collection of his past vinyl only releases, along with some fresh remixes. Tommy Evans has been making hits for a while. Check out "Who Am I? (Turbulent Times)" and "Silent Mobius" featuring Yungun. Note the heavy use of snare drums, whether rocking it mellow ("Beef With Chiefs [Evil Ed Remix]" and "Me / You") or frentic (the Lewis Parker-produced "Not Nice"). Producer Cee*Why reworks "4 Elements" (featuring Taskforce and Usmaan) with a sinister beat. Other heavyweight MCs appearing include Jehst, Richochet and Asaviour.

Various - Spittin: Worldwide Volume 1 - CD - $8.99
ANG -- 2003 -- Condition: New
(USA) This under-the-radar compilation from independent ANG Music showcases talent (much of it unsigned or independent) from 10 countires. Notables include Hilltop Hoods (Australia) with "The Sentinel" and Lions of Zion (South Africa) with "Internal Fire". The four U.S. groups featured (Liason, Krumbz, Rebelz, Calliclick) are fairly forgettable, but otherwise a nice variety from countries like England (Everlivin Sound "Smoke An El"), Scotland (Belles in Monica "What D'Ya Need"), Spain (13 Pasos "Subterraneo Style"), Sweden (Stanza Maze "Confront, Criticize") and Canada (Rigor "Pussy").

Yungun - The ESSAnce - CD - $19.99
Janomi -- 2004 -- Condition: New
(UK) A fantastic effort from one of UK's best party rockers. This CD includes some of his recent singles: the marvelous "The Big Idea" featuring and produced by Lewis Parker and the Mr. Thing produced "Dancing Shoes". Also includes "Push", a remix of "The Art of Celebration" and the Braintax-produced "Chef YG". Other standout tracks are "Gringo Lingo" featuring Red & Nico Suave and "Spit Fire" featuring Kyza Smirnoff.
