Awadi’s Sunugaal finally out in France
from Afrolution.com
Already out in Africa a few years ago with the title ‘Un Autre Monde Est Possible’ (Another World is Possible), the third solo album of our grand frère Awadi has been completed with various tracks following the political and social news. The track against immigration ‘Sunugaal’ has given its title to the new album released in the UK in 2008 by Mr. Bongo. Thanks to the british label, the album is available on all download platforms around the world, and on Afrolution via Amazon. Recorded in his Dakar studio Sankara, the new tracks have been worked in the US. ‘Sunugaal’ is a very strong statement, political, social and human. Quality guests such as Doudou N’Diaye Rose, Tiken Jah Fakoly, Smockey et Kirikou. Without compromise, his speech is radical, couragous and positive, addressing the question of traditions, proud of his roots and encouraging social and economical responsibility. Djeuridjeuff Didier!
See also on Afrolution his interview against migration and the videos ‘Les Misérables’ with Smockey , ‘Le Cri du Peuple’ and ‘On Ne Signe Pas! Non aux APE !’ with Kirikou.
Old School G says: I just picked this album up from eMusic.com, great music if you have a chance to check it out!
