A DEKOYA Adegboyega Yusuf, a.k.a Lineo, has won the Best Promising Artiste of the Year award in Port Harcourt.

After the presentation of the award,the PH ICON Awards, Lineo thanked God and the organisers of the award for recognising his talent and contribution to entertainment in Nigeria.

According to him, hardwork and dedication got him to this level. “ I’m working on my album. My fans should keep their fingers crossed. My single with 2-Face and other artistes will be in the album”, he said.

Born in Lagos into a royal family, his journey into showbiz started after advertising for Globacom.

The University of Abuja undergraduate started his musical career in Mayflower Secondary School, Ogun State few years back where he used to rap and dance.In fact, whenever there was any activity in school, his principal always invited him to entertain the guests.

” That was how I developed a passion for writing interesting songs”,he said.

He recently produced a track wiyh 2-Face tittled “Feel It”.

In 2004, he dropped a single titled “I Dey Ring”. His other single recently released, “Let’s Get It Started”, is making waves on radio stations at the moment.

Elepepe Master, as he is popularly called by fans, has performed alongside 2-Face, Faze, Olu Maintain, Weird M C, Rugged man, X-Project and D J Jimmy Jatt at Bafana Bafana Concert.
