Just got an email from Sam the Kid’s people (Sam the Kid is the biggest name in hip hop in Portugal, if you haven’t heard before) with a new video “A Bênção” by Philharmonic Weed featuring Sam the Kid and DJ Nel Assassin.

I did a bit of checking into Philharmonic Weed and they are an exciting and interesting band. At their core they are a reggae band, but they fuse rock, hip hop, salsa, Afro and other world sounds into their blend. Their members come from Mozambique, Angola, Cape Verde and Portugal. They have lived in Brazil and Saudi Arabia. And they have teamed with some of the biggets names in Portuguese hip hop, like Sam the Kid and Melo D.
