Police Corruption on a Whole New Level

South African hip hop emcee Obita
(FROM SOUTH AFRICA) I HAD A LEGENDARY EXPERIENCE THE OTHER DAY. I got arrested for not having my passport. It’s got me thinking. Didn’t South Africans get up in arms for being arrested simply because they didn’t have their passes? Now we’ve gone from pass to passport. Foreigners are the new Blacks of South Africa. But that isn’t the end of it. I get shoved into a toyota bukkey with 14 other people. Do you know how small a bukkey is for 14 people. From the Heat humidity and sitting on top of each other I just about lost blood circulation in my legs. I felt desparate to get out. I felt madd like. Isn’t this what Mandela struggled to eliminate. Didn’t he not preach dignity for all. What about Martin Luther. Damn. Now we got women and men being treated like dogs for simply not having our passports. These idiots didn’t read us our rights.
Now that ain’t even it. We get driven to the infamous HILBROW POLICE STATION and forced to gather around a police officer who tells us that we have no law defending us because we are illegal in the country. (Remember that we are pressumed illegal because we don’t have passports). So this guy says he is gonna do us a favour, hes gonna make us pay 350 Rand each and let us off with a loitering charge. This is completely illegal. There were 30 people in that line. If they braught in that number of people 6 times a day (which they can do easily) in a month they make close on R1000000 ($100000).
Police corruption is the biggest set back to this country. Cops are an extention of the crime network. Instead of catch real crooks they profiting from crime themselves. I see drug dealers selling crack, heroine, weed catt in front of cop cars in my neighbourhood , so you know wassup.
Lucky for me I was 100% legal, just had to get a friend to bring my passport through. But I left disgusted. Africans help this country win its fight again appartheid. The ANC had army bases in Tanzania, Zimbabwe etc. Now Zimbabweans in their desparation are getting taken advantage of like this. Some of these people I’m sure come from homes that housed Exiled South Africans during appartheid.
After the English Dutch war in South Africa one of the Africa chiefs said he regretted helping the English win because his tribe was worse off for taking their side. If there were any livestock left in times of drought the food from them was reserved for English Soldiers over the starving women, children, old as well as warriors of his own tribe. They were used and forgotten. Then after the war the country was left by the Brtish to the Dutch whom the africans had helped the Dutch defeat. The seeds of racial hatred had been sown. The chief’s regret was deep.
I’m sure some of these foreigners regret having been so warm to South Africans. It sound extreme but when you see your countryman being set on fire (zenophobic violence) by a nation you help how would you feel?

Yeh I use to respect cops but now its hard to, me and my friend were also stopped at a road block am a naturialised South african so is the buddy i was with. My friend got detained cos he didnt have his ID on and because he didn’t speak any of the official languages but English. I pleaded with Mr police to let me go and get HIS SOUTH AFRICAN ID. When i returned to the road block with the LEGITIMATE SA ID the copper refused to realese my friend and demanded money, and threatended to lock up my friend. I spent 2 hours kissing the coppers ass (even though i knew my right it was at night and just five meters away from me they were 9 to ten cops beating up some drunk defenseless guy). I told myself that this punk anit getting a dime from me. I also asked the copper if there is a law that requires South African to carry IDs, he responded by saying i must not be smart. Me and my friend as stated are anturised south africans therefor are South African citizens by law.
it was evident that thecopper wanted money and the punk started making comments about how nice my PDA and Merc is, and i had to lie to the punk that the car wasnt mine but my moms. …..it then made me wonder that my friend was detained cos he is black and disndt speak any of the SA african languages, would the same think have happened to a white foreign guy speaking English……..now let me go and listen to that NWA track “F&&& the POLICE”
