My man Magee from Nomadic Wax spent a dusty week in Burkina Faso (West Africa) at the 9th annual Waga Hip Hop Festival. It might surprise non-Africans that Burkina Faso has such a huge (and free!) hip hop festival that brings in artists from all over Africa to perform. Even more fascinating is that many African countries have similar festivals (easily over 20 countries).
